Procedure For Getting Dental Implants

There are several steps involved in getting dental implants. The process begins with a thorough consultation and examination, where a personalized treatment plan is developed.

  • Consultation & Extraction
     - Your oral health is initially examined by a general dentist.
    - If teeth/tooth extraction is necessary, the dentist will perform the extraction and refer you to an orthodontist for further treatment.

  • Appointment with the Orthodontist
    - An orthodontist will assess the condition of your teeth and gums using intra-oral scanners and X-ray imaging.
    - Based on the assessment, the orthodontist will create a suitable dental implant treatment plan to fill the gap in your teeth.

  • Preparation
    - The dentist will begin preparing for the surgery.
    - The jaw is prepped by using bone grafts to create space for the implant to anchor securely into the jaw.

  • Surgical Insertion (Stud and Crowns)
     - Once the surgical area is numbed with anesthesia, the implant is inserted into the tooth socket through a carefully made opening in the jawbone.

  • Placement of Dental Crowns

     - A dental crown, along with an abutment and an artificial tooth, is placed on top of the dental implant.
